Jim Crowley on winning horse Eshaada

JOCKEY James Doyle was thrilled with the way Creative Force grew into the race as he won the Class 1 BetVic- tor Carnarvon Stakes at Newbury. The Godolphin-owned horse quickened as the race went on before extending his advantage in the final furlong. After the race, Doyle said: “I was pretty impressed with him because they didn’t go at a mad tempo for the first bit, but something took off with three out and I was pretty comfortable then. “The first thing was to get the first part of the race right and Charlie [Appleby] said he is probably better with targets and not one to lead on. “Once we got the first bit right, which took a while because the pace wasn’t hot, I was happy with how the race quickened up and it was his first go on conditions like this.” Elsewhere, Al Aasy dominated the Al Rayyan Stakes with the 2019 St Leger win- ner Logician unable to make his mark.
