Thursday, December 27 The Secret Life of 5 Year Olds on Holiday (C4, 7pm) Some familiar faces and characters from previous shows, along with their parents and siblings, travel to Turkey. Experts Dr Elizabeth Kilbey and Professor Paul Howard-Jones observe how the children behave away from the routine of daily life. MasterChef: The Professionals Rematch (BBC2, 8pm) A catch up with five finalists for whom taking part in the cookery competition has had a career- changing impact. The Snow Wolf: A Winter’s Tale (BBC2, 9pm) In Italy’s Dolomites mountain range, an alpha female wolf and her mate have raised their cubs. However, when a tragic event

shatters their lives, the now pregnant female must flee the pack and find a new territory. She gives birth to six cubs and then has to keep them safe from humans and other predators. Michael Palin: North Korea Special Edition (C5, 9pm) Highlights include exploring the snowy peaks of Mount Paektu and learning more about the everyday lives of the nation’s residents. Travel Man: 96 Hours in Jordan (C4, 9pm) Comedian and author David Baddiel joins Richard Ayoade for a seasonal trip to Jordan, visiting world-class wonders, deserts and salted seas. Friday, December 28 Take That: We’ve Come a Long Way (BBC1, 7pm) As the record-breaking group prepare to mark their 30th anniversary, this special programme hears from fans from The SnowWolf (Boxing Day, BBC2, 9pm) all over the world who share stories of how the band has touched their lives. Billy Connolly: Made in Scotland (BBC2, 9pm) An in-depth look at Connolly’s rise to fame, from his years in Glasgow’s shipyards, to his international superstardom, via a spell as a folk musician. Saturday, December 29 Top of the Pops New Year Special (BBC1, 5.10pm) Fearne Cotton and Clara Amfo present a compilation of 2018’s biggest hits.
