CHEAM School is one of the oldest prep schools in the country with its origins in the seventeenth century. The school became co-educa- tional in 1997 and offers parents the opportunity for education from three to 13+ for their sons and daughters. Set in 100 acres of glorious coun- tryside, it is the perfect school for children to spend their early school days. The school’s aim is to develop a caring community where everyone feels respected, valued and motivated to thrive; so that the children leave Cheam confi- dent and responsible. Classes are small, maximum18, and pupils are prepared for the major senior independent schools. The classrooms are light and bright with interactive white boards throughout and excellent facilities for design and technol- ogy, art, IT, science, sport and a strong music and drama department. In August the drama department took a cast of 15 pupils to perform Holes by Louis Sachar at The Edinburgh Fringe and they all enjoyed their six sell-out performances.
