Heather was well known and respected in the area; as a nurse, Ward Sister and Community nurse until she had to take early retirement due to ill health. Despite this, she continued her work in the community, volunteering at the New Forest Basics Foodbank and Oxfam Bookshop. Heather was a pure ray of sunshine, with the bluest of eyes and the warmest of smiles. A source of true joy, greatly loved, greatly missed and forever remembered. Sadly passed away peacefully on 15th January comforted by her husband Tony and collie Jesse. Beloved wife, mother to Jon and Simon, and grandmother to Sam, Josh, Ethan and Jessica. A linguist and lover of philology, food, and travel, especially trekking in the high Alps and Scottish Highlands, she will be greatly missed.
