Just over a year ago, the innovative sparkling wine producer Freixenet Copestick opened its new head office and the FXC Tasting Room in Newbury Business Park. And what a year they’ve had. Shortly after its move to Newbury, Freixenet Copestick won the Newbury Weekly News Best in Business Innovation in Business Award. This was closely followed by the Best Company to Work For prize at the Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards. Hospitality Manager Catherine Fielden said: “We are delighted with the impact that we have made in such a short space of time. “There has been an extremely positive local response to our key brands: Freixenet, i heart Wines and Mionetto Prosecco. “It is also very encouraging that the people of Newbury were so enthusiastic to join us at our wine tasting events prior to lockdown. “We look forward to reinstating the tasting programme soon.” Over the summer, the Freixenet Copestick team unveiled their much-anticipated Italian still wine range, adding to their existing sparkling Italian wine offerings. This trio of wines, in Freixenet’s stunning signature diamond-cut bottles, features a Pinot Grigio, Italian Rosé and Chianti. These still wines, from three of Italy’s most-acclaimed regions, are fast becoming favourites. If you haven’t yet tried these Italian showstoppers, they are available now from Slurp, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsbury’s, retailing between £9-12.
