O ne person can win six tickets and an exclusive behind-the- scenes tour for their party at the Highclere Battle Proms. Out & About has teamed up with the organisers of the UK’s premier picnic concert series to offer you the chance to win a ‘money-can’t-buy’ experience, as the Battle Proms returns to Highclere Castle on Saturday, August 3. The winner will receive six tickets to the concert, plus an exclusive invitation for their party to join Battle Proms conductor Douglas Coombes MBE on a behind-the-scenes tour. The tour will take in the orchestra’s eye view of the concert from the stage, where you can even take a turn at the rostrum waving the baton. The winners will meet members of the English Field Artillery Company, the gunners who fire the Evening Gun Salute from an original 13pdr First World War Field Gun and the 200 authentic Napoleonic cannon that make the Battle Proms performance of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and Beethoven’s Battle Symphony such a unique and breathtaking experience. The experience ends with a visit to

the fireworks team Skyburst, who will be only too happy to show you the wizardry behind their world-famous firework displays. The winners will also enjoy a full programme of captivating classical music from the 60-piece New English Concert Orchestra, complemented by toe-tapping vintage vocals, a breathtaking Spitfire display to Elgar’s Nimrod , sensational freefall demonstration by The Red Devils parachute team, dramatic Napoleonic cavalry display and groundshaking live fire from more than 200 cannon. This quintessentially British party in the park concert features magnificent musical firework displays, culminating in a flag-waving singalong, firework spectacular, including all the Last Night of the Proms -style finale favourites such as Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory .
