HOW TO...DECOPATCH

FIONA CROOKS SMITH from Rainbows of Newbury in Inch’s Yard shows you how to create a simple but effective decopatch Christmas decoration

What do you need: v Sheet of Decopatch paper v Decopatch glossy glue, in plain or glittery v Flat brush v Object to decorate

Immediately apply glue over the top of the piece of paper applied, ensur- ing all edges are securely glued down 3

Glue the next small area and apply another piece of paper, overlapping it slightly with the first piece of paper. Again, apply glue to the top of the paper, ensuring the edges are all securely glued down and covered with glue

Begin by tearing the paper into small pieces, about the size of a stamp. Make yourself a small pile of paper

Paint the glue onto the object to be decorated in a small area a bit larger than your ripped pieces of paper and apply a piece of ripped paper

Continue in this man- ner, overlapping each piece of paper, until the surface is completely covered 5

Leave to dry 6
