WEST BERKSHIRE COMMUNITY HOSPITAL LEAGUE OF FRIENDS

Dr Evans is a consultant Doctor with a special interest in liver Disease. He approached the league of friends at West Berkshire Community Hospital asking if we would be able to fund a liver scanner just for this hospital.

League of Friends: Dates for your Diary Christmas Carol Service: Location: St Mary’s Church, Thatcham Date: 4th December 2019, 7.30pm Please join us afterwards for complimentary srefreshments and mince pies. Grand Christmas Raffle: £250 First Prize, £150 Second Prize, £100 Third Prize Draw takes place: 16th December 2019 at the Hospital.

The scanner is used to detect Liver disease which is not always due to alcohol and not easy to detect by blood tests but easily seen on a scan. We the league have fulfilled his request by fund raising over the last year and have now been able to purchase it. The scanner will now start being used by Dr Evans in his clinics at west Berkshire Community hospital.
