Prom Guide 2019

West Berkshire Prom Fair 2019 Thursday April 4, 2019 at Newbury College

Relax and enjoy your Prom Don’t put too much pressure on yourself – it’s not the most important night of your life, just look forward to it. Wear a dress or suit that’s YOU – go with your style, not what you think is right. of friends or just your bestie can be just as much fun, if not more so... less pressure and you can have a laugh. Eat the food – sounds obvious, but some people worry about spoiling their outfit or makeup. Slap on a napkin and tuck in.

Don’t worry about pictures – trying to pose for two hours beforehand is not worth it, take a couple of photographs and move on. Plan your hair and makeup beforehand – decide how you’ll wear your hair and practise your makeup, so you’re not experimenting at the last minute. And go light on the makeup, less is more. Don’t overspend – there’s no point shelling out a load of cash on an outfit you only intend to wear once. Transport – limos and party buses can be fun, but most of the time the ride to prom is a short distance and it’s not necessarily worth the expense. Don’t worry about a date – it might seem important, but going with a group

Include everyone – Prom logistics can get confusing, from pre-prom pics to post-prom celebrations. Make sure you include everyone. Take off your heels – kick off those high heels for dancing or bring some comfy sandals, you want to enjoy yourself not limp home. Get home safely – arrange a ride home or to an after-party in advance. You don’t have to go – if prom isn’t your thing, don’t force yourself to go just because of its reputation. This night is about you – most important, enjoy it. This is a night to celebrate you, so do what makes you happy.
