FUN WITH NFU DISCOVERY BARN

Families with children aged four to seven will love the interactive nature of the NFU’s Discovery Barn that helps youngsters to understand farming and food. The NFU Discovery Barn will be stationed in Avenue K, beside the Harvest Centre, during the Royal County of Berkshire Show.

This travelling exhibition provides a great opportunity for youngsters to learn more about where our food comes from. There are quizzes, a roast dinner puzzle, a model dairy cow to milk and a chance to learn how

tractors and technology help farmers produce food and care for the countryside. Free stickers and activity packs are available to visiting children, with recipe cards for adults. Primary school teachers can also find out more about the NFU’s new education initiative. www.nfuonline.com
