WALK INN

There is nothing more British than combining a country walk with a visit to a friendly local pub – PHIL CANNINGS, along with Tilly the sprocker, put his best wellied foot forward and found these two walks in Highclere that conveniently start and finish at The Red House

4 Follow the path through the woodlands (this is uphill and can get VERY muddy)

1 Park at the Red House, cross the road and turn right, towards Andover, on your left you will see a public footpath

5 when you get to the next gate cross the field diagonally to the left

2 Follow the path, through woodland, until you come to a gate

3 Go left across the field and you will come to a stile

6 On your left is a footpath sign which takes you up to the cemetery and the Highclere Castle cemetery chapel. Have a look around the cemetery and the chapel before retracing your steps.*

* In the summer months there is a footpath from the chapel which takes you through woodland and back to the castle entrance by Highclere Church
