Welcome to the NWN Young Photographer of the Year 2019
VOTING FORM
Vote to shortlist your favourite image from this year’s competition and post it to:
WELCOME to our third annual Newbury Weekly News Young Photographer of the Year competition. We are delighted to be bringing it back for another year and, yet again, the standard of entries has been superb. Over the next 21 pages you will be able to see the entries sent in for our 2019 competition, which we hope you will enjoy looking at as much as we have. We would like to thank all the young photographers for taking the time to enter the competition and make this supplement as fantastic as it is. We are pleased to be able to offer an opportunity to encourage and showcase the talented young photographers we have across the area. This year we have changed our categories slightly and will now have winners in Junior: school Years 3-6 and Senior: school Years 7-13 groups. One overall Judges’ Choice winner will also be chosen from
across all categories. The winners will each receive a £100 Amazon voucher. There were also three different themes to choose from this year, which has ensured an amazing and varied mix of images. The themes were Street, Patterns and Landscape. The judging panel, led by NWN photographer Phil Cannings, will be choosing the winners over the next few weeks, from the shortlist voted for by our readers. So don’t miss the opportunity to cast your vote, using the form to the left. All voting forms must be received by Thursday, June 20. You can vote as many times as you like, but each vote must be cast on an original entry form. No photocopies will be accepted. Good luck to everyone and thank you for entering this competition. Winners will be announced in the Newbury Weekly News next month, so don’t forget to check and see if you have won one of the fantastic prizes on offer.
