She said: “I run a youth group of children from age 10 to 18 and we led the parade. “I am proud of my cadets, I think it was good.” Vicky Laws from the 2nd Thatcham Scouts called the parade “absolutely wonder- ful”, noting that the Scouts were “fantastic” and “back in full force”. After the parade finished, Thatcham Town Council event manager John Sackett said he was “very happy with the real- ly good turnout”. He added: “Though I think some people are still being careful, it looked really busy, it was great to see people everywhere and it was love- ly that we had the brass band playing.”
