Poppies around the war memorial in Pangbourne

PANGBOURNE Primary School pupils made their own poppies in the run-up to Remembrance commemora- tions. The Year 6 children used clay to produce these personal markers of respect, firing them in a kiln with a red glaze. This was in time for the primary’s own Remembrance event on November 11 and the poppies have since been collected into a wreath for a display to the public on the school’s gates.
