THATCHAM Town manag- er Jamie Leacock felt his side were well worth their 4-0 home win over Staines Town on Tuesday night. The Kingfishers secured their first win since October 2 as Alex Miller, Daniel Fosu, Lamin Ceesay and Glenn Ga- briel all scored. As a result, it moved That- cham up to 11th in the Isthmi- an League South Central table and Leacock was thrilled to secure the three points. He said: “We spoke after the Guernsey game about putting a run together after the de- feats and draws and it was im- portant we got the win against a team near us in the table. “We talked about having a quick start before the game and then we trained on Mon- day, which is something we wouldn’t normally do because we knew how important the game was. “We worked hard on want- ing to have the fast start and I was really pleased that everything came together.” Thatcham raced into a 3-0 lead at half-time and the Town

“At 3-0 we spoke about the next goal being the big one, but we managed the game well and while I could be harsh and say we could have done more in the second half, we did what we had to do.” The Kingfishers now look ahead to a home game with
