Bringing light to Hordle this Sunday HORDLE families are invited to gather for a socially distanced celebration to mark the switching on of the village’s Christmas tree lights. The event, at the sports pavilion on the recreation ground, is being hosted by the Hordle Community Association, at 4pm on Sunday. A festive post box has also been installed for direct deliveries to the North Pole and children will also be invited to paste their own special messages on the “tree of hope”. Presents will be given out to children who add their messages to the tree. Those attending the event are asked to be mindful of social distancing at all times.
