Planning your wedding can be a daunting prospect. This 12-month Wedding plan checklist should give you somewhere to start.

Four-Five Months Before the Wedding o Contact your florist and finalise your arrangements o Order wedding stationery (invitations, o Arrange accommodation for out of town guests (book blocks of hotel rooms) o Choose your wedding cake o Decide on your wedding decorations including favours envelopes, order of service etc.) o Book youwedding transport

One Month Before the Wedding

welve Months or More Before the Wedding etermine the style and theme of your wedding whether this be formal, semi-formal, informal o Make a list of what is important to you and this will help determine your budget o Decide on a wedding date and start looking for wedding venues o Find a wedding officiant (the person whowill marry you) and apply for the necessary licences Nine-Eleven Months Before the Wedding o Bridal gown o Photographer o Choose live band, disco or entertainers o Caterer o Hair and beauty stylist o Bridesmaid dresses o Florist o Wedding cake o Venue decor o Wedding transport o Shoes and accessories If your the supplier is available on your chosen date book them IMMEDIATELY! o Compile a preliminary guest list o Visit wedding fairs/look through bridal magazines and search the internet to gain ideas and inspiration o Finalise your wedding colours, theme and style o Choose your bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers, flower girl and ring bearer T o D Six-Eight Months Before the Wedding o Start planning ceremony and receptionmusic choices o Start looking at invitation designs o If you haven’t already, purchase your wedding gown, veil and accessories o Finalise and order attire for your attendants o Sign up for your gift registry/ hon eymoon donation o Choose your wedding rings o Look at honeymoon options

o Meet with your photographer o Start working on your seating plan o Decide and confirmyour wedding vows and ensure your officiant has been sent copies o Confirmall final payment amounts with your suppliers as well as dates, times etc. o Collect marriage licence o ConfirmHoneymoon reservations o Arrange for a final wedding dress fitting Two Weeks Before the Wedding o Finalise seating chart o Confirmdelivery time and locations with florist o Contact any guests you have not received an acceptance from One Week Before the Wedding o Collect wedding gown, bridesmaids’ dresses and accessories o Give final guest numbers to venue/ receptions/caterer o Make sure themen have their final suit fitting o Reconfirmeverything with suppliers one last time One Day Before o Attend rehearsal (if you are having one) o Have amanicure/pedicure o Confirmwedding day transportation o Reconfirmhair andmake appointments for the wedding day o Confirmall duties requiredwith the wedding party o Try to get an early night and relax! Your Wedding Day o Try to eat breakfast, even if you think you aren’t hungry o Begin dressing at least two hours before ceremony is scheduled to begin o Relax andmost importantly enjoy your big day

Three Months Before The Wedding o Order your wedding cake o Finalise your guest list o Meet with your wedding officiant to discuss details of the ceremony o Choose gifts for your attendants and parents o Arrange for a suit fitting for the Groom andmalemembers of the wedding party o Reconfirmhoneymoon arrangements o Start writing your wedding vows, if you are doing themyourself o Send out your invitations o Meet with suppliers to finalise arrangements o Schedule a hair andmakeup trial with a consultant o Start making/buying wedding favours o Finalisemusic selections for the ceremony and reception If changing your name, complete the proper documents o Meet with officiant to finalise ceremony details o Reserve room for wedding night if not already done Two Months Before The Wedding
