After a year of upheaval for both large and small shops, this Christmas could be a critical time for many so that’s why we should spend as much as possible locally.

By choosing to shop local this Christmas, shoppers could double the amount of money that stays in their local area at a critical time for small businesses. According to

While out shopping you can take a break at the choice of res- taurants, cafes and pubs offering dishes from fast food and tradi- tional meals to more sophisticated dining. So when it comes to it, New Mil- ton has almost everything you are looking for without the need hav - ing to travel to neighbouring larger towns with the headache of park- ing and traffic jams. While we may believe that shop- ping in big towns is where we have a much larger choice, over half of people surveyed by Visa say it’s im - portant to them to shop locally be- cause they know how much their custom means, while 43% say they get a boost of happiness when they support local shopkeepers.
