It’s Frightfully Fun at the Farm this autumn half-term
C ome along to Longdown Activity Farm for a frightful- ly fun time on the run-up to Hallowe’en; there’ll be lots of spooky stuff to see and do. Enter the Haunted Barn at your peril from Saturday 24th October through to Saturday 31st October 2020. Look out for the grimac - ing ghouls, scary skeletons, and wicked witches who dwell among the cobweb-strewn haybales and blackened timbers of the dreaded Haunted Barn. Keep your eyes peeled and join in with the Pumpkin Quest. Ten rogue pumpkins have escaped from the Pumpkin Patch! Children will enjoy spotting the mischievous
orange faces around the farm as they discover each naughty pump- kin in unexpected places. No priz - es, just spookily good fun. Meet a real-life barn owl with The Creature Teachers who will be in the Haunted Barn along with some creeeepy creatures like spiders, millipedes and cock- roaches on Tuesday 27th Octo - ber and Saturday 31st October. If you have very young children (or nervous adults!), the zany chil - dren’s entertainer, Crazy M will be ready to calm everybody’s nerves in the Haunted Barn on Saturday 24th October and Thursday 29th October with her goofy gags and side-splitting mini shows.
After all the scary stuff, calm down with our friendly farm ani- mals. Join in when you want to with a full schedule of farm activities lasting all day, which includes bot- tle-feeding kid goats and calves, small animal handling in the Ani- mal Encounter Barn, and feeding the ducks. Capped daily numbers and COV- ID-secure controls will be observed at all times. Longdown Activity Farm and the Farm Shop will be open daily, as usual, for the whole of half- term. No extra charge. ing memories to life. Then let your imagination run wild in Little Beaulieu, with careful- ly managed Covid-19 safety meas - ures making this fun fantasy play area the perfect place for younger visitors to let off steam. From hid - den staircases, challenging climb- ing frames, spiralling slides and an exhilarating zip wire, to a fam - ily-friendly picnic seating area, this new addition is a must-see.
