Fee opener kick-starts Lymo return to form Sydenhams Wessex Premier Lymington Town 2 Portland United 0 goalmouth action. This changed early in the second- half with Lymington scoring twice in two minutes.
Prentice double almost beats league leaders Sydenhams Wessex Division One Ringwood Town FC 2 Laverstock & Ford FC 2 penalty area. Skipper Ryan Osman, looking for his fourth goal in four games, took the spot-kick. It was well directed but lacked power, and keep- er Amadeusz Skrzyniarz got down smartly to save at the foot of his left-hand post.
The breakthrough came after Craig McAllister found Owen Fee, who made the most of the little space he was given to shift the ball out of his feet and finish past keeper Mike Edgar. Almost immediately, Bailey capped a perfect debut with an near carbon copy of the first. The new signing comes from good footballing stock – his father John enjoys a place in the AFC Bournemouth hall of fame by being the only Cherries player to score at Wembley, his goal came in the 2-1 loss to Grimsby in the 1998 Auto Windscreens Shield final. The win moves Lymington back into second in the table with two games in hand. Lymington Town: R. Casey, R. Drake, L. Churchill, N. Hurst, T. Stephenson, C. Stanley, S. House, J. Rose, C. McAllister, T. Bailey, O. Fee. Subs: N. Pierce, C. Churchill, T. Man.
COMING off the back of their first league defeat of the season, Lymington dispelled any fears of a collapse with a routine 2-0 win over Portland United at the Sports Ground on Saturday. Lymington’s 10 match winning run came to an end last week with a 3-0 defeat to New Forest rivals Bashley, but they returned to form with goals from winger Owen Fee and new signing Toby Bailey. Conditions for this pre- Christmas fixture could not have been any worse, with the heavy downfall accompanied by a bitterly cold wind. The home side welcomed two new signings to the starting line up with former-Blackfield & Langley player Jordan Rose joining from Gosport and Bailey signing from Brockenhurst. The first-half was a hard- fought contest with little
RINGWOOD Town recovered from a poor start to nearly snatch all three points in a 2-2 draw against league leaders Laverstock & Ford at the MA- CRA Community Stadium on Saturday. These two in-form teams served up an entertaining feast of attacking football in this pre-Christmas fixture, with two goals from Ring- wood’s Shaun Prentice punc- tuating strikes from Jake Rawlins and Chae Sykes. Both sides had early chanc- es in the first five minutes, but Laverstock had of the best play. Ringwood keeper Liam Harris was called into action saving at the foot of his near post of a well-struck Rawlins’ free-kick. Moments later Laver- stock had a goal disallowed for offside when Chae Sykes squared to Russell Jones. After a quarter of an hour, and somewhat against the run of play, Ringwood won a penalty when Harrison Fay was fouled just inside the
Laverstock continued to dominate, and their task was helped when Osman was sin- binned on 28 minutes. He had served nine minutes on the naughty step when the visi- tors took the lead, Jones scor- ing with a low shot after latch- ing onto a through ball. The second half kicked off at a frenetic pace with both sides narrowly missing early chances. First Laverstock’s Jones rounded the keeper, but his shot from a narrow an- gle hit the outside of the near post, and Shaun Prentice’s low shot whistled past the far post. Ringwood levelled the match around the hour mark when Osman’s free-kick was met with Prentice’s powerful head. Ringwood doubled their tal- ly just five minutes later when Prentice added his second goal of the game. The num- ber 11 got ahead of his marker to bury a low cross from the right past Skrzyniarz. The game was end-to-end as Ringwood looked for the killer goal and Laverstock battled to save a point. The equaliser came on 76 minutes when a long cross from the left was met on the volley by Sykes whose powerful shot found the back of the net. Both teams had chances to get the winning goal, but after Ringwood were reduced to 10 men with Ryan Butterworth’s dismissal, both sides settled for a draw. Ringwood: L. Harris, J. Manley, R. Butterworth, H. Clark, C. Horton, R. Osman, C. Heggan, M. Cole, R. Hamm, H. Fay, S. Prentice. Subs: J. Petty, A. Riley, L. Taylor.

MANY had predicted a close game, but league leaders Hamworthy were rampant firing seven goals past Blackfield & Langley’s Joe Besant at the Specsavers County Ground on Saturday. Both sides came into the match in good form with Hamworthy having lost one game all season and Blackfield winning four of their last five leagues matches.

Back & Hip Pain?
“I was recommended to BritChiro by an eighty year old man in the village. He had had trouble walking and had gone from one to two sticks; then one day I saw him with no stick! I rang him and he told me he was coming to BritChiro. I had acute pain in my back, through to my groin and could barely walk. My Chiropractor diagnosed that the problem was with my hip which amazed me as that part of my body didn’t hurt. I could barely walk because of the pain and was worried I would have to give up work. I felt instant improvement on my rst treatment session.” Susan Eaton, Plant Nursery Worker

“Since coming to BritChiro for my neck & arm pain, I have new energy and I feel like I’m living in a new world. I have found all of the BritChiro team to be very sympathetic to my condition, which is something you can’t take for granted. As an accountant I am very careful with money and BritChiro is good value for money. I would say it has been a very good investment for me - the return being good sleep, more energy and being pain free!” Victor B.
